Blackfinch EIS investee company First Score Music (FSM) holds rights to the score for Golden Globes winner Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri

Blackfinch’s Evolve Media Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) Portfolios, which utilise rights on creative work by investing in qualifying companies in the media and entertainment sector, have received a major boost through related award wins at the Golden Globes 2018.

Music publisher FSM, an underlying investee company within the Evolve Media EIS Portfolios, holds the rights to the film score for feature film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. The film has won in four categories at the Golden Globes 2018, including for best motion picture – drama.

Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, written and directed by Martin McDonagh, tells the story of a mother who personally challenges the local authorities to solve her daughter’s murder when they fail to catch the culprit.

The film is set for wide release in the US and internationally, accompanied by broad digital distribution and downloads.  Its recent success also bodes well for the Oscars.

With the rights to the film’s score secured for the next 70 years, the wins further strengthen the investment made in FSM by the Evolve Media EIS Portfolios. It also reflects the Portfolios’ focus on targeting predictable income streams via investment in growing companies in the media and entertainment sector.

The Evolve Media EIS Portfolios represent a discretionary service offering the combination of Blackfinch’s expertise in these sectors, coupled with strong investee company management teams. We congratulate the team at FSM, and everyone involved in the making of the film, on these achievements.
