We’re very pleased to have agreed to provide a leading UK hotelier with a facility to fund the next development in their growing hotel group in Liverpool. Signature Living currently owns and operates successful ventures across the UK, in prime central locations in cities such as Belfast, Manchester and Liverpool.

With its strong cultural heritage, global reputation and historic architecture, 21st century Liverpool is fast becoming a property hotspot. It has a number of regeneration projects ongoing and planned which continue to drive investment in the area.

This development from Signature Living will be the Dixie Dean Hotel, which is named after one of Liverpool’s most treasured football icons. It will be constructed from old office buildings, and built in the traditional gothic redbrick style that is popular across Liverpool.

The Dixie Dean Hotel will create 75 jobs within the hotel for the city and another 50 jobs locally as tradesmen and women work on the project.

The development will sit opposite the Shankly Hotel, also operated by Signature Living, breathing further life into the Victoria Street area of Liverpool, which is undergoing continued regeneration.

Refurbishment to a hotel will take 11 months, with the hotel to include a restaurant, bar and spa facilities, alongside an events space for weddings. It will sit alongside the upgrade of Victoria Street to create the world’s first football quarter.

We have a strong ongoing relationship with Signature Living and this is one of several hotels that we have funded. We are really excited to be working with them once again as they continue to roll out their innovative hotel brand.

We particularly like the fact that they not only have the expertise to develop the property but have been able to provide us with a more assured exit by incorporating the finished development into their fast-growing hotel business.

It is a real pleasure to be involved with projects that bring fantastic period buildings back into use and rejuvenate our city centres and local economies.
