In changing times, trusted partnerships become even more valuable

By Mark Keogh, Head of Asset Management

The appointment of Andy Burnham as Prime Minister marks another significant moment of change for the UK. He is the fifth person to hold the office since the summer of 2022, reflecting a period in which political leadership and national priorities have shifted at pace.

Each new leader brings different priorities, and it will take time for the finer detail to emerge as the Government sets out its direction. But change is not confined to Westminster.

The impact of a new Government is often felt before every policy detail is known. Markets respond, expectations shift and advisers’ clients begin asking what it could mean for their plans. Advisers must then bring clarity to that uncertainty, while continuing to respond to evolving regulation, technology and client needs.

In this environment, the providers and partners advisers choose can make a meaningful difference.

The right provider does more than meet today’s requirements. It understands your business, listens carefully and adapts alongside you. This can lead to more productive conversations and more relevant support, without the need to explain your business again whenever circumstances change.

At Blackfinch, our values of Adapt, Evolve and Thrive guide how we approach change. We listen, learn and improve where needed, while protecting the trust built through long-term relationships.

As the new Government sets out its priorities, further developments are likely to follow. Advisers cannot anticipate every policy, regulatory or economic change. But they can strengthen the areas within their control: the quality of their advice, the relationships they build and the partners they choose.

By working with partners that are ready to adapt and evolve, advisers can remain focused on what matters most: supporting their clients.
