Congratulations Chloe Young and Serena Wiggin

Blackfinch is proud to announce that our very own Chloe Young is now a qualified solicitor and Serena Wiggin is now a chartered legal executive.

Currently in her fourth year with us, and during the course of two years Chloe has successfully completed her period of recognised training with our highly experienced legal team. Chloe qualified as a solicitor on 1 May 2021, and has now started her new role with us as Junior Legal Counsel.

Serena is our first qualification through CILEX (Chartered Institute of Legal Executives) and qualified on 18 May 2021.

Hamish Masson, Head of Legal at Blackfinch said: “Chloe and Serena’s success is another example of how we believe in supporting our talented staff to achieve their full potential and realise their career aspirations with us. In line with our values of ‘Adapt, Evolve and Thrive’, we support continuing professional development across our teams and encourage our staff in their aims."

Blackfinch registered with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) to offer training contracts and Chloe is our first trainee to qualify through the scheme. The two-year training period includes experience across Blackfinch’s business, including commercial, corporate, finance and real estate law and working with our Ventures, Property and Energy teams.

Alex Common, Legal Counsel, added: “We plan on continuing to develop our junior talent and expect Chloe’s example will be the first of many more training contracts. We also look forward to supporting other members of staff through the LPC (Legal Practice Course) as we did with Chloe. We’d also like to congratulate Serena on qualifying as a chartered legal executive and we’re thrilled to support her progression."

Congratulations Chloe and Serena!
